Worship God!

            A very important part in the life of every Christian is worship directed to God. Worship is defined as ‘bowing the knee or offering homage to God’. The Psalmist David said this: "Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness" (Ps. 29:2). God is worthy and deserves our sincere and humble worship. There are many reasons that we want to offer our worship to God. Since He is our maker it is fitting for us to love and honor Him. In the creation account as recorded in Genesis one, we are told that God made us in His own image and likeness. Jesus reminded us that is was God who made us. (Mt.19:4). It is proper for the created to honor the Creator. God also is our help in time of trouble.  He does not forsake us when we need Him most. "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Heb. 4:16). When life seems to be crumbling about us, God is always near to help us. The Apostle Peter tells us that the eyes of the Lord are over us and His ears are open to our prayers. How often in our lives do we need the help and strength that is supplied by God? Only God is able to supply this help in order to get us through our hardest times. God is the object of our highest praise and devotion. Worship Him!
