Welcome and Greetings,
My name is Rico Brown and I am the minister here at the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ and we make great efforts to maintain a biblical example of what Christ’s church should look like. We strive to be a source of encouragement and strength to anyone who is searching and laboring for Christ. Our lights must continue to shine bright and as we do our best to work towards growing spiritually we must live our lives righteously. We recognize and acknowledge that God is alive and His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, lives in us.
We follow the same standards as the church did in the first century. Christ died on the cross for our sins and our beliefs are grounded in God’s word. We sing, pray, teach, give and partake of the communion of our dear Lord every first day of the week and have bible classes for all ages during the week plus a training class for our men. Our elders work with the deacons and I to ensure the work of our Lord is done decently and in order.
Come and allow us to get to know you better as we study God’s Word, and continue to edify and encourage ourselves individually and collectively as the Church of Christ. The creator and sustainer of life have given us all things that pertain to godliness and it is our task to use them diligently and earnestly.
